Lex Borrero, is one of the biggest innovators and executives of the entertainment industry. As President and Co-Founder of NEON16, Fast Company’s #1 most innovative music company and Partner of entertainment and media company NTERTAIN, Borrero has developed multiple ventures at the intersection of music, gaming, television, film, and live events.

A Billboard’s 40 under 40 honoree and Variety Miami Impact List honoree 2022, Colombian-American Borrero has made extraordinary strides in the music industry, climbing his way through the ranks as A&R to the mastermind of some of the industry’s biggest producers including Latin GRAMMY® award-winning, and GRAMMY® nominee, producer, Tainy, whom with he co-founded NEON16.

In 2021, Borrero teamed up with music legend Tommy Mottola and Range Media Partners to launch multimedia powerhouse entertainment company NTERTAIN which focuses on developing, producing, and capturing Latin stories and placing them at the forefront of entertainment.

The company's first series “Los Montaner,” which Borrero will executive produce, is an unscripted docu-series that will give fans an exclusive look inside the most viral and influential family in Latin music, the Montaners. The series will be streamed on Disney +.

Through dedication and diligence, Borrero has galvanized the entertainment industry to place the Latin genre in the limelight transcending a Spanish-speaking audience. His work on hit records and albums for artists such as J Balvin, Selena Gomez, Maroon 5, Bad Bunny, and Justin Beiber has culled over 250 million records worldwide and achieved Billboard’s top 10 hits including "I Like It" by Cardi B, "In The Middle" by Zedd, “Dakiti” by Bad Bunny, among others.

As executive producer -with NEON 16- for the SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run official soundtrack, which featured artists such as Snoop Dogg, Tyga, Becky G, Monsta X, and more, Borrero achieved two Latin GRAMMY nominations for the theme song “Agua”, featuring J Balvin and Tainy. “Revelación”, Selena Gomez’ Grammy-nominated Spanish album, “DYNASTY” reggaeton icon Yandel and Tainy ́s smash album, and the hit single “Summer of Love” single by Shawn Mendes and Tainy, were also executive produced by Borrero.

This year, he created and produced “LA FIRMA”, Netflix’s first music competition series, which will search for the next Latin urban star. Borrero will also be featured as a judge on “LA FIRMA” with guest judges: Rauw Alejandro, Yandel, Nicki Nicole, and Tainy.

In a historic move for Latin music, earlier this year Borrero brokered Tainy’s catalog sale for more than eight figures, and he is responsible for Tainy’s mainstream crossover, by brokering collaborations with some of the biggest names in music, including Miguel, Maroon 5, Travis Scott, Cardi B., DJ Snake, Selena Gomez, Skrillex, Camila Cabello, and Shawn Mendes; as well as Tainy’s place on the #1 Billboard producer charts for a record 118 weeks (on going).

Throughout his career, Borrero has dedicated his philanthropic passion to a variety of causes benefiting education and Immigration, and with his HUMAN (X) initiative, he remains committed to NEON16’s mission of purpose. HUMAN(X) is a charity initiative that seeks to benefit the Latinx community via various humanitarian efforts, using music as a platform for aid activities.

Borrero also sits on the boards for the following investments: Influur, REKT Global, Regulars Bar, Drink Chiki, Human X, BeatClub, and Ledn.

Borrero previously served as Executive Vice President of Jay-Z’ Roc Nation and Director of Roc Nation Latin and was awarded the 2019 ASCAP POP Song of Year award as a publisher for his work on Zedd's “The Middle." Borrero resides in Miami, Florida where he oversees NEON16 and all its operations.
